Graphics card help, need help right away

i need help within a few hours, and i am pretty inept at this stuff

okay here we go.
i have the standard Dell insipron 530, i want to play actual games on it and i only want to spend >$100 to do so. here what im getting, and i want to be positive what im getting will work perfectly with the computer and monitor.

i am getting a 500 watt power supply and a new graphics card

thats it, will they work? and i know my monitor only supports VGA and the adapters that come with the Video card can make that work right? anyway, Just want to make sure. thanks
