When the door is a non building units will path find through it. Which is an advantage.
I have a unit with collision size 48 (max) in the center and two invisible locust blockers one to the left and another to the right.
Instead of add-remove locusts i thought may be i can just make them patchable and unpathable back
In-game probably not, but you can try to change the whole building by replacing with triggers carefully.
I am not sure if that works however. I'd give it a try though.
I'd recommend using the Chaos ability to replace the building, essentially have a Gate (Closed) and Gate (Open) units and swap between the two with Chaos.
