formation movement

when u select lets say 10 units and make them move all at once they move in a box formation. Cant i narrow that formation up so they move closer to 1 another? like if i have a group of soldiers that i like to move closer to 1 another

Hmm... i dont think so... cause there is a button right next to your mini map.. the first formation is like a triangle (which makes your units move in an organized way) the next formation (when you click on it) is a sparse formation (making your units unorganized when you move them...

Formations are hardcoded, i'm afraid... But you can set unit's priority in the object editor to determine it's place in the formation(that's how game knows which one is caster, ranged or melee).
