Well, duck, sure as shit it's been much like forever since we had an official Terraining contest and it's damn well on time we get one going.

Though, surely, we all want to have our say in regard to a particular theme and challenge, so get those brains together and start brainstorming, chaps.
- Yes, I'm talking to you Sherly.

Yeah well, I'm kind of inclined to agree, but then I also want the theme to be new and fresh, and to a point a tad creative.

I suggest "Different Setting" - Basically taking one race from, say wc3, and putting them in an environment different from where you usually see them. Like making a Tuskarr settlement in a desert, or moving Gnomes into a jungle.

Though, I'd love more suggestions! Come along people, it's not only terrainers that can post suggestions, anyone can, and anyone should.

I think it'd be interesting to just tell the terrainers to make an "intimate scene". Basically, anything that is within enclosed quarters without grand skylines or massive fortresses/forests.

I want to see guys get gritty with the minute details when given a confined space.

You are only saying that so you have a legitimate reason to get in my pants for inspiration.

The one that I was about to create would be called "Where is the love?" and you would have to represent love in one way or another and truthfully, find a good way to use unit models, if you were to do that. Basically this concept would train you both in terraining, lighting (because abstract concepts tend to be interpreted and executed with a lot of shadowing) and unit models' placement.

Ah, yes. Now there's an interesting idea, only I'd want to change it up a tad, just to include more variety.

So, basically, same idea, only renamed "Emotions," to include the entire specter of feelings; rage, sadness, love, happiness... So on and so forth. It actually opens up for a lot of creativity and advanced thinking, while at the same time provides something simple for new terrainers to handle.

Thoughts?

Rage, love, and happiness?

I love the idea of an "emotions"-theme, something we can all relate to :)

Another idea that just came to my mind was something alike "The art of worship", where the terrainer must show some kind of connection between mortals and their deities :)

Has there ever been a "Vision of the Future" theme?

I ask because everyone has their own distinct vision of what they think the future will be. Whether it is war, extinction, technological advancement, or spiritual ascension, I think that would be interesting to see as well.

With the conclusion of TP5, we'll likely be hosting this contest sometime in a near-ish future.
So if anyone has any final suggestions, or some final votes to cast to the already suggested
themes; I'll take you to a planet where everyone is all ears.
- No really, they're literally all ears.

Obviously I won't, I just love quoting Doctor Who.
Anyways! Such as it looks now, I'm relatively inclined
to go with the "Emotions" theme.

I dare you; change my mind.
