But really, erm... I don't know where to begin.
How about... adding some real triggers?
They can do magical stuff, like actually being able to win/lose

There are plenty of tutorials around here, go read them...
And experiment a little, everyone has to do that once in a while (not necessarily meant in 'another' way).
