fog of war

ok so im trying to make my map have fog of war. now i managed to make the map darker in non-viewed areas but
A. you can still see it if you look hard enough and
B. the minimap isnt fogged at all
what am i missing?

black mask.
Alseo, uncheck "Masked areas are partially visible".

yeah that worked, i was messiing around with terrain fog settings for a while and it didnt seem to do what i wanted. finnaly triggard black mask afterwards but didnt know there was an option for masked areas partially visable.
