Whenever I use this trigger
[trigger=THIS]Custom script: call SetDayNightModels("","")[/trigger]
to make it darker for interiors the particles on the High Res torches disappear.

Is there a way to keep them from disappearing?

Apparently this is a tougher question than I thought. I was thinking it may have something to do with the models themselves, but I don't know.

If anyone has any ideas at all please let me know

Just so you know: the images you use are from a private album. You are probably the only one who can see them (maybe your friends too, depending on the privacy settings).
Might want to re-upload them (attach to post / upload to an image hosting website) or change the album's privacy settings.

Could you achieve a darker setting with a glow perhaps? Or maybe with a fade filter?

Might be something to do with there being no light for them to be seen.

I have light emitters all around them to produce a glow and all the other doodads show up even without the light. The strangest thing is that it's only B2M's torch models and firepits where the fire doesn't show up.

I think I might just have to make a small fire doodad and place it on the torches where the fire should be.

Flames and smoke are often produced via billboards. These are rendered very differently from normal meshes as they do not require 3D rotations (only 2D scaling). They might not take local lighting into consideration but might take omni-lighting (from the lighting model that you remove) into consideration.

Similar problems include smoke appearing to give X-ray vision (although it has alpha, if the smoke is from the wrong type of object it will ignore the objects behind it allowing you to see straight through them as if they were not there).

Well I appreciate the help, I think in the end I'll just do the easy thing and place a fire doodad on the torch that won't disappear and will give the same overall result.

+rep to both of you for helping me out
