The campaign also contains a lot of puzzles, starting with really easy ones, but it gets too hard too fast. The little moonglade wolves are also too strong in the beginning, your character is quickly out of mana and his spells take a long time to cast, so I actually had to use cheats. There are also some unnecessary cutscenes, like when you've killed the first wolf boss, you could just display the only message shown in that cutscene on the screen. The map is based on warcraft lore, so it's not completely original, but it is quite interesting, with Cenarius being dead and the evil chick working with the night elves secretly. There aren't a lot of custom items (stats changing ones). However the enterable buildings are really cool, you can enter one right away without having to pan the camera or waiting for a cutscene to finish, the building just gets transparent. Terrain: Huge maps, well filled and natural looking with lots of foliage, but some custom night elf plant doodads would have made the environment shinier and more fresh-looking. There are also some pathing problems, like the high cliff in the small village where Nele's house lies, maybe make it possible to go up there from both sides. Other: The dialogues aren't really well written and too sudden, try to seperate some messages into more transmissions. Also it would be nice if a casting time counter would appear above the druids head when you're casting a spell. Overall: A long and huge campaign, with puzzles and custom spells, but with some things lacking in the terrain, as well as the bad writing and no combat/gameplay changing systems. |
