Excessive stuttering in areas with lots of doodads?

I have this overgrown graveyard level in my map with plenty of roots, vines, and tombs but honestly it's not a stupid amount of objects. In vanilla it never had any problem but in reforged I am experiencing unbearable amounts of stuttering. My computer is high end and ready for max settings on VR games for years to come.

Are you guys experiencing this too? Shitty textures is bad enough but making areas of my map virtually unplayable is infuriating. The area can be explored with no issues in the world editor but in game it's a lag fest. Is there anything I should try besides removing detail or waiting for a patch (if they don't abandon this entirely)?
