Ethereal.blp

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
An ethereal hero skinned over the demon hunter. Based off of the world of Warcraft ethereal creature. I also created an icon to go with the skin. Completely freehanded. Updated (added much needed shading and tint to bandages). And updated again to improve quality (mainly the face). The ethereal idea is from World of Warcraft entirely, but I did make the armor a bit different, I felt that the black and yellow fit better than a purple and yellow-orange mix for team color.

very nice! i like the idea a lot, even though its not yours.. nice work but could be better... like those white parts could use more shadows and highlights.. :S. you know? not just.. blank white. also the armor u made on the chest and the hands could use more highlights.
overall i like it, for now 3.6/5. i wont rate until u make a bit more changes. :)

Well an ethereal skin could be very useful but you need to do more shading on the white parts as knight26 said :P

Hmm... this is bad.

your idea might be neat.. but i don't see much here than a bunch of straps, instead of that you could try to put muscles and the face details to be the showy part that fades slowly, would certainly give him a better look than this. and a good idea is to tint him into ethreal green shade

so far, it doesn't impress me =/ 2.46/5 Lacking

EDIT: i gotta say the blade is terrific :D

Ishkhan, right now it looks cooler than before but ti still lacks..... thing you could to is to create a tiny glow aura around each strap on the body. you can do that in photoshop by usin' a policonal cut tool, making a layer and aplying the "outer glow" filter int the desired color. would ceertainly give it more style. but don't overdo it.

how's that?

I know how you could make this better...do you know how to use the lightest alpha shading to make things see through? If you do or don't know it, I have a great idea that could make this skin alot better
PM me

ey' dude, i think that you should create a new model with this skin. You use demon hunter model, but add particle emitters so it looks like glowing purple. What'cha say? :)

if it only was that easy to make a model..... :(.

nice skin tho, but I think you need to remove some of the bandages that sticks in behind his face if possible? because the icon looks realy good and your skin should be kinda like the icon. (no bandages behind face) and glowing eyes whould be nice. lal

The portrait looks bad, I'm ok.
But look ingame or on the screenshot. It looks pretty awesome!

really though. its way too plain and simple. a good skin has proper shading and good techniques that have it so that it looks good alll the time. not just from a far distance... -.-""

im still saying that it needs a ton of work still

Sorry, i know nothing about models, if anyone really cared to help me they could, but I might end up changing him to a model to add particles, if I ever did get to reading a tutorial on that. I think I will keep him a skin for now though.

Edit: Also updated for his new face and a bit on the body, hopefully the portrait is acceptable now
