Enabling/disabling attacks

Is there any ability that has an enable/disable/change attack effect other than the orb abilities (which have the side-effect of making an attack a ranged missile) or any other way to effect whether a unit can attack short of replacing it? I've tried setting acquisition range to 0 as well.

Hm it was someone else, but silence should be perfect, thank you. Or better... drunken haze, since it's unit-targetable and I don't use a breath ability. There'd be a lot more hassle with replacing it, since there'd have to be numerous checks to carry over current orders, add the new unit to events of triggers referring to it, etc.
