A bit of white space and a few line breaks here and there would really come a long way in making the code more readable.
The implementation of using invisible dummy units to anchor the lightnings is certainly not the most optimal, but it works.
The laser is quite creative and looks awesome on Reforged graphics (not so much on SD graphics with the default models, but everything can be customized). There are no major issues with the code.
