Hmm awkward... I'm not entirely sure why having the data option "Disable Other Abilities" set to true nulls the check I have for that situation. Go into the Object Editor, find the Electric Conduit spell, and select that option to False.
I always thought "Disable Other Abilities" just meant the caster's own abilities.
EDIT: Just updated the spell to fix this problem. Thank you for the find!
