I started a thread asking how to do this, and I found something out that interested me. This model by Mr. GeneralFrank, has an interesting attack animation

http://www.hiveworkshop.com/resources_new/models/3019/

If you set the attack speed high (or maybe normal works too) it lights up all the doodads, through the fog of war (yes ALL doodads) which is what I've been looking for a way to do. I believe it is a part of the emitter in the attack animation, but I don't know anything about models, so I am just guessing.

I guess my request is to see if anyone can make a low-sized model, that has a standing animation where it does that, or something of the sort, I included some screen shots, and I think there was a lot of people that would like to find a system for this anyways I didn't really know where this goes, I guess it could be a model edit, or animation rip, or a model from scratch, or a way to do it with triggers, but I would really like to have this in my map.

If it's in the wrong section move it, but it seemed mostly like a request at the moment, also thank you from me and for others who would love something like this.

Personally for me, I use rock-doodads on the edges of my maps, as well as a castle system by XxMorpheusxX (I probably mispelled the name, sorry) and this prevents alot of "square lighting" on doodads and such, Or when you have rock doodads scaled different and such, they can appear black and the one in front as if in the fog. I also would like this for my trees, so you can tell where they are, and such, at a quick look, anyways thanks again if you try to attempt this, or know how I can do this

Well first of all I'mma give this a bump to see if anyone wants to try it, also I found out some more information about it.

Once the unit turns the 'light' on, it stays on forever, so it only has to be simulated once, which makes it perfectly easy for the game to run it, And I think it was only on one of the attack animations on the model.

Also this lights up shrubs, grasses, dead trees, and every dood-ad, except for the terrain, I believe it even lights up buildings that you have seen, I forget.
