How did the creator of this map make this river ?

It seems different

EDIT: Wait I'm having trouble with the image. How can I post an image here ? My image is too big, how can I post that little and then you click and check it as original size

This river seems very different from the normal river, like, when we just click "Shallow water" and make it.

I think it's from Dota. Is this riven really different or is just me that suck ?

Different as in there are no cliff edges?

Yes, maybe, when we try to "shallow water" in the terrain editor the editor creates a big hole (that looks like a crate) and then create the water in this hole, but look this

To make a river/lake/sea with smooth edges you need to use the raise/lower tool in the terrain layer.
To get the best effect you create the map as shallow or deep water and raise all ground from there.

You mean, I have to create the water and then raise the terrain (up one level, up two levels, etc) but in the water ?

I think he disabled enforcing water heights option.

World Editor > Advanced > Enforce Water Height Limits
disable this. There must be a tutorial about this.

1. The terrain level (cliff level) has first been lowered by one level and then "Shallow Water" lowering has been used on the once lowered area.

2. The corners of the water/cliff has been slighty risen up with the "raise/lower" tool.

3. The water color might have been change a little bit.

Small sample map on attachments.
