Everything else is fine but they need a custom facefx as it messes up with the original unit model.
AWAITING UPDATE until it's resolved.
also they could benefit from a casual non-defend walk
Footman shield will make it even harder to recognise. Either try to make out a straight non tc simple shield with gold borders like classic or try a bandit style shield
Make another militia derivative so he carries a spear. It was the most commonly used weapon back in the middle ages, and peasants had little else but farm tools.

Good job!
Yeah, if you ask me, the spear is the unsung weapon of many battles and warfare. It helps keep the enemy away, but you also have the reach, so in real life, the peasants would have been relatively safe (unless they fight the undead).
I said way too big for militia. Like low level peasants with cheapest equipment available. They shouldn't be equipped with tower shields. But whatever tickles your fancy.
Ok I checked and it seems to be a way now to trick the game.
Idk how you checked them but if you set them all as peasants and the original model will work. Same if they are all militia with a peasant.
If you set each of them as a separate model like a captain/footman/knight because they all use same facefx and in different models only 1 will have face moving
I will update these now that I know how to set a custom facefx from original file.
I have Cinematic Walk One/Proper Walk Defend 1 (the one they have is the original)
