[General] Detecting Upgrade Finish?

I can't think, please someone tell me how this isn't working... or else I will do horrible things to this cockney orphan...

    • Events
      • Unit - A unit Finishes an upgrade
    • Conditions
      • (Researched tech-type) Equal to Damage Upgrade
    • Actions
      • Special Effect - Create a special effect at (Center of (Playable map area)) using Abilities\Spells\Human\ThunderClap\ThunderClapCaster.mdl
      • Special Effect - Destroy (Last created special effect)
ETA: Also Instant research is not a thing? 0 Second research time is not instant?

I think the event you're looking for is : Unit - A unit Finishes a research and not : Unit - A unit Finishes an upgrade if I'm not mistaken. If that's not the case then you'll need to change the condition to (Unit-type of (Triggering unit)) Equal to Damage Upgrade

As for the instant research, you may wanna take a look at this thread : Research/Upgrade time = 0?

upgrade is like:
Scout Tower >> Guard Tower/Canon tower/Arcane Tower
Town Hall >> Keep >> Castle.

and I can confirm what Warseeker said is quite accurate iirc


lol I'm thinking in broodwar, also @Warseeker, that instant research works like a charm!
