Destructible limit in-game (not in WE)

It is a well known fact, that WE enforces destructible limit. But is this limit still enforced during gameplay?
I have a hero skill that permanently plants 6 trees in star-pattern. Will this ability cease working when the limit(if existent) is reached? Thankyou.

Since you cannot save the map if it exceed this limit, it indirectly does.

Though by using JNGP you can bypass this.
