Because Varmithras seems to be inactive and he never answers my emails, I allowed myself to optimize/modify this TD I consider as the best one.

Well it might be, but i think your allowed to if the creator gave up on it and no longer updates it for a period.

The base of the map is still the same. Its only a conversion to VJass and some "optionnals" thinkgs like knockback, damage display and a rank system. I did not have modified towers, balance etc. That was something like a free work because i Love this map. i will not make other versions of this one, because i will soon release Stars 1.16 and i one month a modern RPG. Consider this modified version of Demon Circle as a gift in memory of Varimatras

It's exactly the same version than the original Demon Circle TD of Varimathras.

As gameplay thing, the only real change is: sell = 100% gold back and tower which are downgradable.

Other things are only optimization to get the game faster.

I don't think it breaks the rules, as the creator obviously quit his mapping carreer and credits are given where due.
If the original author does not want a modified version here on the hive, he can request this recourse to be rejected at any time.

@ Vengeance: if you quit working on a map for a few years and there's someone who really likes it and wants to optimize it, giving basically all credits to you, would you really mind that?

Anyway: I've played this a lot before and knowing that it's now 'converted' to vJass, I can only approve this.
Unless someone does not want this map to be here, of course (with valid reasons).

a friend of mine googled my wc3 name just for fun and found this xD
you are right that i am inactive and i accept your change because you changed not much xD there are versions of this map with added unbalanced towers and without credits but this one is okay
im glad to see that you like it =)
you may change the description of the map its a bit crappy
