Maricar Valens was once a Ranger-General of the Imperial Elven Ranger Corps, a high-ranking officer of the 96th Apex Division. She leads her forces in a dangerous mission to sabotage Demonic activity during the Outland Expedition. But things are not according to plan, when the Imperials leave Valens and her cadre behind due to unknown circumstances. Betrayed and left to die by the Eldritch Legion, the Dark Arcanist Thakris Valzar of the Death Angels discovered Valens' body and turns her into a Banshee. Having restrained her form, Valens was reanimated into her Elven form and becomes the leader of the Death Angels Ranger Corps, hoping to exact revenge on the Imperials who were betrayed her during the disaster.
