Dawn of Sorrow RPG
Story
In a time where evil once existed in shadows. Heroes from all over the world banded together to push evil back and bring the fight to its master. The heroes were victorious but only for a time. Evil cannot be killed, it can only be locked away. Peace was finally won for the land as the heroes became history, soon enough they passed into myths and legends. The world forgot the times of shadow and went about tending to fields and raising livestock. Evil however had new ideas for this virgin world. The prison holding the master of evil, Vamaro, shattered. Evil once again hunted the people of this peaceful land and plunged the world into shadow.
The time of shadow has come again and King Orant sends word to all realms begging for heroes to stand up and earn their place among the legends. Will you answer that call?
History
I began this RPG 4 years ago. I was the only member of the development team and due to "real life" I was prevented from finishing it. I had grand plans for it. I wanted to bring people an epic RPG that they would never forget. The RPG went through several changes before I was satisfied. I am still working on it, there are a few things I cannot do alone and I will be making a post in Project Recruitment looking for help.
Systems
Dawn of Sorrow RPG features a full day/night cycle. At night your heroes cannot see as well and must build a campfire to adequately see at night. Special recipes can offer your hero night-sight. Tents are used as a way to heal your heroes when they enter it. Bosses are not just tank and spank in this RPG, several bosses have phases that take not only strength but intelligence to survive. There are 32 classes to choose from: 4 basic classes, 8 prestige classes, 16 second prestige classes, and 4 secret classes.Fishing - You buy a rod and find a fishing location on the map, dip your pole in the water and wait for a bite.
Cooking - The fish you catch and the meat you get from creatures can be cooked to grant not only healing but special temporary buffs for some of the rarest delicacies.
Camping - Making campfires and pitching tents are some of the best ways to spend a camping trip. In this RPG camping is a part of the overall gameplay and must be utilized to survive.
Crafting - Stuff you get off of creatures or find on your travels can be used to create new items to help you on your journey.
To start with there are 4 basic classes to choose from. Upon reaching level 100 you can prestige to the next tier. Your level resets to 1 but you keep all attributes from the previous class. The map contains prestige zones, what this means is even if your a level 100 Warrior the monsters will be too tough to handle alone and require you to prestige to advance through the map. Secret classes can be classified as a 3rd prestige in that you need to be a level 100 second prestige to learn them. Same rules apply to them as with any other class except you DO NOT gain anymore attributes while leveling. The secret classes are just an extension of the second prestige making them optional instead of mandatory.

Classes
Warrior Tree
Basic Class Warrior: Warriors excel as lone combatants or within a larger force, depending upon what fighting styles they have mastered or choose to employ. Warriors as a Calling have no shared ethos or background, but their training, mastery of weapons, and enduring nature unite them in spirit.Prestige Class Paladin: Righteous defenders of the weak, Paladins use heavy shields and divine blessings to stand as a bulwark against their foes. The Paladin’s large shield not only offers protection, but affords many opportunities to launch devastating counters in close combat.
Prestige Class Champion: Champions are powerful Warriors who excel at melee combat. These battle-tested fighters find few equals in one-on-one battle. Champions strive to become one with their blade, constantly honing their fighting skills to win glory through warfare.
Rogue Tree
Basic Class Rogue: The arts of the Rogue are handed down by many different masters, each of whom developed unique forms and techniques. All Rogues are sophisticated combatants and dynamic thinkers, who utilize every available tool to skew the battlefield to their advantage.Prestige Class Ranger: Some expeditions are so demanding and some foes so dangerous that they require the attention of a highly trained specialist whose combat skills far exceed those of the typical fighter. Though the Ranger specializes in neutralizing monsters, her skills qualify her for a wide range of adventures.
Prestige Class Stalker: The Stalker is a defensive specialist who bends the planes to enhance his constitution and shift in and out of the physical dimension. These highly skilled and survivable combatants keep their opponents’ focus while easily evading incoming blows.
Mage Tree
Basic Class Mage: Through research and experimentation, the ancient Mages learned to control the elements without pledging themselves to any gods or minor spirits. After mastering broad elemental incantations, Mages focused their studies on individual elements, tapping the potential of primal forces controlled by a skilled hand.Prestige Class Sorcerer: Hybrid spell users who concentrate on spells of disruption and destruction. Their primary spells deal with the annihilation of animate and inanimate matter. While this is a difficult profession to learn early on, Sorcerers have the potential to be extremely powerful and deadly.
Prestige Class Warlock: Consummate practitioners of the dark arts, Warlocks embrace the grim forces of entropy and death. Protected within a cloak of shadows, they lurk on the edges of the conflict, as their deadly energies inevitably consume all that stand in their way.
Priest Tree
Basic Class Priest: Although those who take up this calling boast extensive knowledge and keen intellect, Priests value wisdom and faith above all else. Intensely focused, a Priest tackles any endeavor secure in the support of powerful beings incomprehensible to the layman.Prestige Class Cleric: The Cleric is more or less a super-powered priest, gaining stronger healing spells that can help heal allies from even the most dangerous wounds to even death itself. The Cleric also has a variety of spells giving the Cleric a welcome advantage should they be face to face with a foe.
Prestige Class Shaman: The Shaman binds the power of the icy north to his very being, wreathing himself in pure elemental force. This power augments a Shaman’s attacks, making him a powerful combatant, and provides shields and reactive healing.
