[Solved] Dark ranger ult and banshee possession question

Does unit that was target of ability being cast count as DEAD or alive? Does it count as dying if it dies under control of Banshee or DR?
Do you mean Undead? I'm not sure I understand the question but I'll answer what I think you're asking.

1) Possession/Charm doesn't add the Undead classification to the target.
2) A unit targeted by these abilities will fire a death event when it dies:
  • Events
    • Unit - A unit Dies
3) Both Possession and Charm change the ownership of the unit. They belong to the new player indefinitely. It should be no different from this action:
  • Actions
    • Unit - Change ownership of (Target unit of ability being cast) to (Owner of (Casting unit))...
