[General] Custom summon ability

When I use summon water elemental as a base for some custom ability how do I rename the bar(ingame) that shows the name of the summed unit? it always says water elemental.

Make a custom buff based on the Water Elemental buff, edit the Text - Tooltip field and make sure your custom ability uses that custom buff with edited name.
