Custom Scripting

Whenever I go about the forum, I always seem to see people use custom scripts. Occasionally, I see some weird customs that I never seen before like getgroup something something. Can someone list down all (ok... Not all but rather very useful) custom scripts and their function?

But the thing that Jass tuts lack is telling us what are the things to type to get what. What do I type to display a message? Create a unit? Destroy a destructible?
