Custom ability stuffing up!!

hey.. my problem is when i use one skill it also uses another skill.... I used locust swarm for 1 of my custom skill and i have another custom skill, using locust swarm as an original copy as well and everytime i use one of the skill it uses both the skills does anyone knows y?

Your spells have the same orderid.

Change them in the object editor, under Text - Order String

Changing order ID's sadly doesnt work.

You will have to base each ability off different ones but give the same effect.

so for your first one you could use the Locust swarm, and for your second one you can use Crushing wave.

Are you sure?

I'm pretty sure I have had this problem solved before by chaning the order id's.

its super simple.

crushing wave and locust swarm are the exact same abilities but with different order ID's, almost as if it's meant to do what you need

well a hero only needs 4 different ones (unless you have a 5th ability that is STILL the same..)

ill try to name some.

I think shockwave can be used as a cone,
Same with Breath of fire,
still have Locust swarm
and Crushing wave
if you need a fifth one, you can try breath of frost, (maybe it has the same order id as breath of fire, but im not sure.)

i cant use the skill where you have to target where to use the skill.. i only need the 1 click and it uses it self like an aoe skill

uh what?

if you mean the spells have to be instant casted, then you can use simple triggers to create a dummy unit to cast the "wave" abillity infront of the caster when you cast a dummy spell like Warstomp, thunderclap, channel, etc

Try modding the "channel"ability. There you can choose between instant(no target), ground target, unittarget or unit and groundtarget. If you use this along with a dummiespellcaster there is almost nothing you can't code.

O sorry i forgot to tell what i'm trying to do.. Im trying to make an instant cast ability that triggers an AI to build a structure for you.

i keep getting locust swarm and carrion swarm confused.

Just use those dummy abilities, then with triggers, check when the ability has been cast, then order whatever unit u want to build whatever.
