im still sorta new to the hive, and i need to know, can anyone just go and make a contest? or do you have to be a moderator or something? and if i can make a contest, how do i do it? thanks

You can't host a contest, but you can post your ideas and suggestions about new contests here: Contest Submission
If you want to make a submission, you should use this: Contest Templates
