My computer has decided to quit working for some weird and unkown reason, I am having some engineer friends look at it to see if it is an easily fixable problem or I need to buy a whole new system (again). I will let you guys know when I find out for sure.

You know the WC3 shortcut on your desktop. left click that and go to properties. Then up the top there are two tabs, make sure it is on shortcut and not general then go down to were it says tatget and it will have were you installed the game. at the end it should say \Frozen Throne.exe". then chage it to this. \Frozen Throne.exe" -window nad click apple and ok. then whenever you play WC3. Start it via the shortcut and it should come up in and tab-able window like the internet (this could depend on what you run on your computer eg. windows, mac.)

lol... Warcraft III in a window very funny idea :)

I think the CD problem is normal ;) Disc out and in again, then you have no problem anymore. But the crack is a good alternative.

The problem is the motherboard, which is both good news and bad.

The good news is that it is rather cheap to replace and there should be little to no damage to any of the "internal" sections of the computer; id est the hard drive and the information located therein. After installing the "new" motherboard I can recover all of the pertinant data and transfer it to a new system and therefore be able to continue to go about my daily business.

The bad news is that the motherboard will be hard to track down since it is outdated technology and few carriers here will have it and I do not trust the internet to find one and safely deposit it to me.

Well most internet shops are really serious believe me. You can trust them (I do in my country ;)) Ask your friends if they know a good shop, their experience is very useful.
