Hello.

EDIT: Aw, crap! I forgot to change the title. I just typed something in so I could preview the post... If a mod could change it to 'Prison' that would be great.

I got an idea for a new map (Well, I think it's new). The concept is that you are the Warden of a prison and can make the prisoners do stuff via abilities. When you order them to do something there is a small chance that the prisoner will rebel and try to kill you, depending on what you are having them do. When a prisoner dies, a new one will spawn shortly after inside a random cell. After x prisoners die, the game ends, at which point you will be given a "title" based on your actions during the game. Everything you do will be stored in variables, and when the game 'ends' calculations will be made, then your title is produced.

The map itself would include stuff like cells, an electric chair, and a track (as in running laps). There could be other stuff like a theater and a soccer field or something but that (obviously) would be unrealistic.

So, I'd like to know what you all think of this idea. And ideas or thoughts of your own would be nice.

Could be interesting , but sounds a little confusing. Sounds like a "Sim Jail Warde/Jail Warden Tycoon" type of thing. So is the goal to kill as many prisoners as possible, or to save them, or do make them do as much crap as possible?

I dunno it sounds like a good idea at first, but if all you are going to do is send prisoners to different rooms then its kind of lame.

Maybe if you come from a more movie inspired angle then from such a tamagotchi inspired one. Instead of sending prisoners here and there, focus on a more realistic role of a warden. Things like this would be cool -

-manage the budget: decide whether you need more money spent on food, medical, guard equipment, prisoner facilities or utilities each month

-manage the guards: position your guards and use the guards to witness prison fights and murders or to find drugs and other contraband in the cells. Keep an eye out for which guards could be pushing dope to the prisoners. Use the guards to capture or kill escaping prisoners.

-manage the gangs: keep rival prison gangs seperated by moving them around the prisons facilities at different times. Pay off gang leaders to keep there posse under control. Turn a prisoner into an informant that can keep an eye on things for you.

These are just some of the prison related things I can think of... I think it would make for a different game to anything I've played.

Most of his ideas wouldn't be terribly hard to implement. But, is this singleplayer or Bnet? Also: add a business aspect, prisoners do work in factories (true) and make thing like license plates...etc
