Can you still change terrain via triggers with Galaxy editor?and also place roads in game via triggers? If so how?

Well maybe in future versions it might be possible..i hope so..Someone got to figure out how!..lol
If you mean G&E, yeah..but most probably Im going to simplify the city building aspect and implement a few mechanics I have in mind, focusing more on combat and RPG elements..

Yup I started researching bout it, but no luck so far..Shoutout: if anyone has an idea how to please do share them with me..
Good idea actually, but atm I think I'd stick with what I have so far since basically I have the groundwork for it already.Well maybe a version by that theme can be made later or maybe just allow the players advance to modern age to futuristic etc..like in civilization games and the like.

Um, there are no terrain edit functions 'cause in SC2 the terrain is a giant texture or something, it's not a tiled map. So it's more like drawing, not like changing terrain type. I suppose this is the reason we can't edit terrain :( Then again I think it might be possible to do it like this:

Create a flat custom model and put on it the terrain texture you want somehow. Then just import the model and create a doodad with it. Then in the triggers just spam the doodad on the map and it will look like you are drawing over the terrain. Is this going to work?

i tried that before in Wc3,the problem with that technique is for example the terrain is sloping the model won't follow the slope, and also placing them side by side on an incline would cause them to appear as staircases..

Theyre still workin at it because they cant copy blizzard because of the new shapes, terrain fading, etc.
