How can I change the color of this model??

Can anyone teach me how to change the color of this model, I dont want to use the world editor's Art tinting options, I want to change the color directly by means of editing it in a model editor. Can somebody give me a simplified tutorial. Thanks..

If you atach the model here, I could take a look at it and maybe tell you how to recolour it. But did you ask for the permission of the author?

Actually I just want to know how, so that I can do some model editing of my own. I just want to make this one as a cradle of learning.
