Celtic Barracks

This bundle is marked as approved. It works and satisfies the submission rules.
All right, so here we go again... i really enjoyed making the greek set, and figured i'd make a celtic set to go with it. I wanted to avoid using the yellow farm roof - since it's used on literally every single custom wc3 structure since the dawn of time - so i ended up using Arthas' hair instead, with some vertex coloring to make it look like a thatched roof. I hope he doesn't mind. Note that it probably won't display properly in the viewer, so test it ingame for the real deal.

haha I never knew that Arthas' hair was so roofy. I wonder, how a Morph animation that converts Arthas to this building would look like :D

Anyway, I think it is good to have these roof colours along with all the others to have more variation-
This set will be very great!

I like it a lot though it needs a base, you should lengthen the poles.

Really nice, glad you're making a whole set!

Dunno if it's suppoused to be like that, but Stand and Stand Work animations are exactly the same - smoke commin' out of the chimney. Wasn't the Stand animation suppoused to be without smoke?

Wow, this is badass mate. Top notch work...

Did you model and animate this yourself? If so, can I request some help for some of my buildings in my Medieval map project? PM me

Are you sure this is celtic? It looks eastern? Even Scandinavian.

    What's your inspiration?

Yeah, the base model i use has these preset animations. it's quite simple to make it so that the smoke only comes in the Stand Work animation, i might end up doing that in a future update.

Eastern? Really? My main inspiration is the game 0.a.d., since this is practically the only RTS game which has celts in it. You might think of it more as a general gallic/celtic/breton building set though, since celtic architecture alone isn't much to speak of. I just uploaded a house model which i'd say has a more celtic feel.

    • Looks good and works well ingame.
    • Feel free to elongating the poles, even though the model is approved, haha.
