[Spell] Carrion Swarm - Spell Effect

Hi There :)
I have a little problem with this spell
When the wave hit a unit a special effect appear overhead for each hit unit
Art - Special: [effect(default) = CarrionSwarmDamage]

I want to change that effect into that >>>
[Units - Special] -> [Ancient of Lore <Special>... (NECancelDeath)]
The problem is, when i change this field nothing happen, the spell remain the same.. and idk why..
Also I want to put that effect (NECancelDeath) in "origin" to each hit unit
The help will be appreciated, Thanks!

You need to change the Buff effect. If you modify the filed in the ability tab nothing will happen. You need to create a custom buff/effect, modifiy the model in the buff model field, and then you select your cutsom buff in the ability effect field.

For the origin you have to add a target attachment point so if there are 0 you set it to 1 and then set it to origin in string field.

It doen't work..
Can you make a map with your example and put the map here, so i can see and copy the result?
I tryed to change the buff but the spell do the same default effect..

This is strange! It works fine for me.
Art - Special : Objects\Spawnmodels\NightElf\NECancelDeath\NECancelDeath.mdl
Art - Special Attachment Point : origin

I tried setting the Attachment Point to "overhead" and there's been a difference. So it works fine.

Solved.
With your help map I found the problem:) (was a world editor problem).
If you edit the main spell all work just fine, but if you first make a custom spell(copy - paste the default main spell without any edit), then try to edit in custom spells section the new spell, the edit will never work in the game.
But if you first edit the main spell (Art - Special & Art - Special Attachment Point) and then copy - paste the default main edited spell in custom spell section, then again all will work just fine.
