I think the compiler does optimizations and removes unreachable code to some extent. Mods have always been buggy which does not help.

Another issue to put next to the lack of allocatable dynamic memory structures.

Given all of this, can resources be limited by only the amount of storage they take up, not by their number? I can't put any of them up at this rate. I have to keep them on hiveworkshop. I have probably 100+ JASS Scripts that are on hiveworkshop, and I am likely going to have 200-300+ Galaxy scripts.
People could DoS Blizzard making 100,000s of 1 KB or smaller mods just to clutter their servers.

by the way, I've also noticed that some major resource projects, like wc3/WoW style mod ones, have stopped in their tracks because of the 157 meg limit. Also, have you considered that this makes it so that resource makers can't publish their own maps? As they will want to be able to publish their own maps, they likely won't put up any resources then, which'd kill everything >.<, lol.
Mods like this require co-authorship where by 1 or more player host auxillery mods containing resources for the map. They have finally allowed players to build maps using mods made by other players. Seeing as massive WC3/WoW total conversions usually use huge teams this is not a concern as each member of the team could be asked to host part of the assets via a mod. They cannot vandalise the project as the map will still be playable even if they delete the mod from their account (next version would need to find someone else).

Apparently Blizzard can also change the allocation on a player by player baisis. If a total conversion mod is popular enough I am sure you could pressure them into raising your allocation.

Why am I answering these questions here and not on BattleNet where you posted them? You see, unlike Diablo III, StarCraft II has the annoying pollicy of restricting forum usage to the region your liscence is for. Being from EU and you from US this causes minor communication difficulties.
