Is this a known issue? Am I retarded? What's going on?

I am using a number of custom models I've gotten from this site so that I can have 3 distinct armies. Human, dwarven, and elven.

However, for some reason literally every single dwarf model I try to use doesn't work! I just get that stupid green box in game that means there is a model error!

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Are these models maybe outdated? I can't find any that work. Can anyone suggest to me a popular one that works? I just need something for melee dwarf footmen types.

In general, this problem occurs when the texture path is wrong.
Did you check the path of models you used? Could you provide a link to these models?

This could be it and the next thing I will do is give an example. But I was doing exactly the same thing I was doing with my other custom models so I must be missing something.

I'm using this one in my project and it definetely works:
Dwarven warrior

That's actually one of the ones I tried, but I will try again and come back with this as my example.

I tested the Dwarven warrior model, it works just fine for me. I can only suggest you remove all faulty models, set the models files back to default, save and exit your map, then apply the whole import procedure again. Make sure you save your map after importing new models, before doing anything else. If needed, repeat these steps again, because sometimes it doesn't work the first time for some reason.

I imported it, saved the map, and then tried and it worked.
That is because the editor caches assets, meaning they are never reloaded. If you try to use it first before saving it fails to find the asset despite being in the import manager because it looks for it in the archive of the last save of the map and not what is scheduled to be in the future archive when saved. If one saves the assets are written to the archive so the editor will find them when next referenced.

Restarting the editor discards the asset cache and so it will likely load the model next time the map is loaded.
