Can you detect when another player sells an item on one of your units?

Can you detect when another player sells an item on one of your units if you've given them control using any method?

While I know that you certainly can track the unit that sold the item and the player who owns that unit, I do not believe that you can track something such as that (unless when you gave it to the other player, it handed complete control of the unit over to them and you no longer control it).

this reminds me something... is there a way to detect an amount of gold given by a sold item if the player owner of the unit has left the game?

You could run a trigger that stores that player gold amout once in a while and compare it with his gold amount right after selling that item.

but if the player has left the game... which player is it?

He has still the same player number, is still in Player groups and so on...., even after he has left. Technically nothing changes with player leaving game.
