I took a Footman, revoved his shield and gave him different animations, is this allowed?

why not, there are lots of models of warcraft units with small tweaks. the mods may not like it tho.

Just removing a shield and swapping animations is... Not very complex

Try for something else. Like giving him multiple animation sets and geosetanims and all sorts of random stuff

Or change hes anims and reskin him ..

Oh, and give him a portrait. He is not very usefull to me if he dosn't have portrait. Sounds cool though.
