Campaign Lag Question

Ok, for a campaign if I have alot of custom imported icons but only a certain or small amount were used in each map of the campaign would the maps lag?

i dont know why i never imported icons but like flame effects and stuff can cause horrible lag maybe thats why... but i dont know
