It really is great (PS3). Dunno about PC, should be as good (but uglier) .

Any game for the PC should look better than for the consols, as the consol hardware sucks. This has been proven with fallout 3, TES oblivion and a dozen other games.

The PS3 in particular is using a graphic processor on par preformance wise with the 7800 cards from the geforce 7 series. These pale in comparision to any gaming PC these days using 8800, 9800 or 200 cards. Thus the PC version of any game should look way less ugly compaired to the PS3, unless the makers seriously stuffed the PC version up with a poor port, or ripped you off and for no reason did not suply the same res textures.

And you can make the graphics on certain games even better with mods (mostly for TES games that is). But for those who don't have that much money for a high-end computer, a console is a nice option.

Well, the consols are not too weak. Their processors are prety decent, and will age well as they are both cell designed processors for both the 360 and PS3 (YES, the 360 uses modified cell technology, but it is not one so do not argue over this fact). The whole reason games look better on the PC usually is the consols only have shity 512 MB RAM, of which half is meant for graphics (in the 360, the partitioning is more flexible so thus why those games have better textures). Most modern game cards however come with 512 MB of RAM alone, if not more. As you know, texture size does not degenerate performance much, so the end result is just by having more graphic RAM, a game can look better.

Anyway, reaper2008, what do you mean by uglier on the PC?
