Seems kinda dark with that bg. In this case, the black bg doesn't help the subject to stand out too much.
Help the main figure to stand out more(you can zoom it in a bit, as well) otherwise i'll move it to the substandard section.

Some kind of white in the background like, say, the Hand of Saruman, would really enhance this icon and make it feel less like this poor Uruk-hai has been dropped into an abyss.

Love to see icons for the Uruk-hai Swordsman and Crossbowman since you did so well on this one.

In fact, I think your style's probably the best I've seen for a possible range of icons for Fingolfin's LOTR models (Uruks and Elves alike).

No pressure, though. I won't be broken-hearted if you don't feel like pursuing something like that.
