First icon. Spent a lot of time on that one. Used a custom photoshop brush to create the posion sacks. Then I filled in with colors.

• Update 1: Made icon less blurry.
• Update 2: Added more detail.
• Update 3: Even more minor detail improvements.

Keywords:
Acid, Posion, Disease, Spider, Toxic, Sack.

    This is blurry as hell.
Even with all clavi opened, one can not tell what this is supposed to represent.

When displaying skin abilities, approaches such as these have a high potential of correct results (displaying skin/epidermis with the desired effect):

I updated the icon but the image doesn't seem to change. I might have to reupload it tommorow if it doesn't show up.

    Refresh the page.
The changes are unnoticeable - you merely changed the size.
Have you looked at the examples I linked?
As previously stated, there's no way you can tell what this is supposed to represent.

I think it doesn't update it. Look at this:

You are avoiding the main issue here.

Let me pin this down for you:
Your submission is unacceptable in its current state. Zooming in or out will NOT change this - only according design changes hold that potential.

Please look at the examples I provided and the comments I previously posted.

If I understand correctly you are looking for proper human skin, which is something that I don't want to achieve. This is supposed to be more like a baneling skin (not exactly though):

And I am not trying to avoid the issue by zooming in. I tried to fix the bluriness of the image, which I think i succeeded (as shown in the icon comparison I provided).

If you think the two images are equally blurry, then I believe I won't be able to make it better. :/

Now we are getting somewhere, seeing what you want to display.

There are two things you can try:
You can zoom out of your design, include portions of the body that are clearly visible as such, so people can actually see that this is supposed to be its skin.

Or, you can define the whole effect more.
I could see this being close to a turtle shell, but the cracks between the highlighted areas (bright green and yellow) have to be rather distinctive.

The current state of this shows a field of colours - there's nothing concrete here that makes people say "ah, I see, this is skin/surface of a creature/object".

This is alright for your first approved icon, I suppose, but it could definitely use more shading.

2/5. It can be useful to some, though.
