Pyramidhe@d: the way you did the tendrils all smooth and curved is giving the impression that this is some sort of a slow light tentacle. It should be jagged and erattic to show that the lightning is violent and full of energy

Yes, but add a little more glows around the lightning bolts instead of the BG being boring.

Yes, now add a BG glow and it should be fine. i would do maybe white or light blue.

i think berz just made an icon looking pretty much like this, which doesnt make this more useful... it is a good icon, but people, stop making icons which already exist a couple of times before.
