It's... Not as nice as the watermelon. I suggest to give it the shiny texture from the watermelon, define it more, lower the saturation, make it overall darker, make the white holes more detailed.

Oh...nupe. Haha. Erm absolutely not using any special functions in photoshop. Just pure paintings and some burn and dodge effects. =D
