Hawkwing: The shading is still really rough and hard to see. Make it stronger. Also, remove those stars in the background. Remember, this is Warcraft III, not a Sunday afternoon cartoon.

Haha, no worries, for 1st one it quite good. You just have to add some shadings, details and reflections. Then it would be great.

Cause its not shaded.

Anyways, try make one from the side, where everything is tilted a bit. Also, you should shade it, and use way more darker colors.

Anyway, you still need some constructive shading and highlights, and my friend's (hawkwing's) anti-n00bism-texturing tutorial can really help you work out the little glitches with the picture. Have a nice day =)

well, im not the greatest with icons either, but i noticed the border of the BTN icon almost disappear when it comes to the left side, could fix it, otherwise very creative 3/5

Dont be easy with shades. Use lots of dark colors, and most of all, use many colors!
Use like 6 red colors, and place them on each other, and same with the white/grey.
