This foul weapon can not inflict physical wounds, but rather goes through matter and drains and depletes the victim's soul with each swing, leaving them but a soulless husk, a shell of the former being that cannot survive without a soul, which strengthens the scythe with each soul consumed.

I think you should zoom out a bit,so that one has a better understanding of what this icon represents

I thought this would be better, since capturing the entire blade would make it too small, unrecognizable and would leave a hell lot of empty space. I like super-zoomed icons though

I think it's a real turndown to not see the blade.

Kinda hard to make out what it is at first glance. The background and the blade shouldn't share the same color.
