Are supposed to be mouths/eyes, like faces?
Try to define the faces more, like making some colour differences in the souls being eaten, and try to make like... Faint shapes of heads. Like...err... Really distorted skulls seeping into the monster's mouth.

Sorry, it's kind of hard to explain.
Plus, the monster thingie could use some work. Try to make it look more ferocious, and less like a purple blob with square teeth.

If you could define the faces/heads/skulls/what-the-hell-ever souls, and improve the blob-ish beast, it would surely qualify for 4/5 or 5/5.

EDIT2: Like TheHunterKiller said, the colour scheme is GREAT! And therefore, I'd like to warn you about my suggestion. If you decide to make colour differences in the flowing souls, make sure the colours match. Like... Don't start mixing in green or red stuff. It would look horrible. At least that's what I think. (I was thinking some purple, perhaps ;P )
