I think the cross bit is slightly off angle.

There are just 2 points that are making it look a bit freaky, the angle of the metal parchments, they are not making it look real. And the other point, is the thickness of the shield, you need to make it a bit more thick, because it almost looks like a 2D shield.

But taking all this out, nice work on the quality, I really like it.

Oh yes and also, try to reduce the amount of wood to 3 planks.

I agree with darkdeathknight, so many make it look like a stick-made shield. Or a gigantic shield.
