try make texture of handle and guard more smooth, cause currently i am not sure if it is wooden, or metallic.

Also cause of lack of black shades it looks little flat.

Advice number two for define shape - in the place, where u making a black part - lead it with the light. So, it will be black handle and contrasted white (or light) line around.
Also, next version of example attached.
