Even though you didn't make many changes in updated version, icon looks good and naga as subject is an uneasy unit to draw, so it is approved.

It looks nice, but it seems 2d. Maybe define the shading so it gives off more 3d look too the face.

i have updated the icon so it have better pronounced shadow/light than previous version before your comment or did you mean it's still 2d now? I'm aware of it and updated it, but if it about the bigger picture seems 2d, i agree but then it's not relevant as the icon is the one that imported to world editor and not the bigger picture of the icon.

Not an experienced artist myself, but I think the highlight on its face is too strong.
I'd shade the other areas darker instead of turning it more bright.

I like the colors you used in bigger version. I think icon would benefit with being zoomed out to include the yellow parts to give him background and frame at the same time. The icon size looks bit overworked, in other words too detailed and with too much contrast for 64x64 pixels canvas. There are some issues with his proportions regarding chosen perspective, some shapes need rework. I suggest you to flip image horizontal to get new view on it and possibly find areas that should be corrected.

I don't think I can add any effect, my icon filled with the naga head, resizing it make the icon less clear. I reduced the contrast too.

new bigger picture and new icon -> [IMG] -> [IMG]

    edit : maybe better?

    also scrapped version

Very detailed & quite good artistry. I agree with others that it's rather flat-seeming... Not sure how well it'd fit in-game (standard icons tend to be less detailed (less fine details) & more high-contrast). Good work, though.
