I my opinion this looks pretty good 
What i think you should change is make the background a litle more bright or visible. and the projectile aura thingy well i don't like the white around it. I think the white part is jsut to thick

I agree that the BG should be a tad more visible, but other than that I think it's a good-looking icon with a multitude of uses. 4/5
