Looks like a blue blob, not lightning. And it doesn't appear that you used any freehand, looks CnP'd lightning with filters and smudge tool.

Right now it looks more like a mana icon, and it's a bit blurry like some people already pointed out. Other than that, it looks fine for me.

The white line in the lightning should be shown completly. Believe me, makes it look much better.
